Guidelines

Please be sure to tell me if you have any injuries, recent illness/surgery, if you are pregnant or just had a baby. This allows me to ensure classes is right for your body today. You can email me at meganjanewellness@gmail.com (for online classes) or pull me aside at the start of class.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to breath and move freely. Classes are generally practiced in bare feet to allow you to find more stability and balance on the mat. If you would prefer to keep your feet covered, you can purchase a pair of yoga/pilates socks to prevent slipping on your mat.

It is preferable you purchase your own workout mat. This will allow you to find more stability on the mat, prevent slipping and protect joints from hard floors.  You could consider using a large bath towel, carpet, or rug but you may find more comfort on a workout mat. I have included mats for purchase below at different price points. These are just recommendations, and you are welcome to buy or use any mat you have.

1.  Decathalon £22.99

2. Yoga Matters £39.00 (includes mat, x2 blocks and yoga strap) I highly recommend this yoga starter kit.

3. Yogi Bare £74.95

At in-person classes I will supply mat, blocks, bolsters, pillow and straps but please feel welcome to bring your own mat and props.

If you do need to leave the class at any time due to any circumstances please do, no explanation needed. I’ve left my mat many times in the middle of a yoga practice – some days you might not be feeling in and that’s 100% okay. Please do contact me after the class if you feel like you need to chat.
