Guidelines

Please be sure to tell me if you have any injuries, recent illness/surgery, if you are pregnant or just had a baby. This allows me to ensure your yoga practice is right for your body today. You can email me at hello@meganjanewellness.co.uk (for online classes) or pull me aside at the start of class.

 

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to breath and move freely. Yoga generally is practiced in bare feet to allow you to find more stability and balance on the mat. If you would prefer to keep your feet covered, you can purchase a pair of yoga socks to prevent slipping on your yoga mat.

It is preferable you purchase your own yoga/workout mat. This will allow you to find more stability on the mat, prevent slipping and protect joints from hard floors.  You could consider using a large bath towel, carpet, or rug but you may find more comfort on a yoga/workout mat. I have included mats for purchase below at different price points. These are just recommendations, and you are welcome to buy or use any mat you have.

At in-person classes I will supply mat, blocks and straps but please feel welcome to bring your own mat and yoga props.

 

Please allow time for your body to digest and eliminate liquids prior to your yoga practice. This will allow for a much more comfortable practice however do not worry if you need excuse yourself to use the loo.

 

If you do need to leave the class at any time due to any circumstances please do, no explanation needed. I’ve left my mat many times in the middle of a yoga practice – some days you might not be feeling in and that’s 100% okay. Please do contact me after the class if you feel like you need to chat. 

FAQs

  • I teach Vinyasa flow, Yin Yang Yoga, gentle Vinyasa, Yoga Nidra and breath work. All teaching are centred around connecting the breath to movement. Read more on the classes I offer here.

  • You absolutely do not need to be able to touch your toes to join my yoga classes.

    Yoga is for everyone, regardless of flexibility or experience level. The practice of yoga is about connecting with your body and mind, and working within your own range of motion. Over time, with regular practice, you may find your flexibility improving but if it doesn’t that’s okay! Yoga is not about what it looks like on the outside but how it feels on the inside!

    At the end of the day, yoga is a personal journey and each person's progress will look different. I invite you to join the community and explore yoga at your own pace.

    After you book your first class the easiest way to book future classes is to download the Momence app:

    If technology is not your friend, you can contact me by email and I will book you in to the class.

  • A pack of classes that can be bought as 1, 5 or 10 . Class packs are valid for a set duration from activating. You activate your class pack when you book your first class. You can purchase class packs here.

  • They say on average it takes more than 2 months to form a habit. I aim to help you establish a sustainable wellness routine and the best way to do that is making a 2-month commitment to yourself and your wellbeing. Sign up to your free 7-day trial here.

  • The free trial period grants you full access to all on demand videos.

  • We ask for your credit card because it will be automatically charged for your Get Flowin’ Membership once your free 7-day trial ends. You can cancel your membership at any time during the 7-day trial and you will NOT be committed to the 2-month holding period.

    If you decide to continue with your membership after the 7-day trial, you can cancel your membership at any time after the 2-month holding period, should you wish to leave.

  • After you complete the free 7-day trial, your card will be charged £15 or £50 depending on which membership plan you select. This payment will recur once every month.

  • For students, NHS workers or over 65s I offer a 10% discount, send an email to hello@meganjanewellness.co.uk with your ID and the discount code will be sent to you.

    For yoga teachers and students I offer a 15% discount, send an email to hello@meganjanewellness.co.uk with your certificate or student ID and the discount code will be sent to you.
