Time of the month smoothie

Not only is this smoothie yummy it is also packed with lots of nutrients to support you during you menstrual cycle. Spinach and beetroot contain iron and folic acid. Ginger helps with bloating and nausea. Cacao contains magnesium which can also help with bloating, water retention and cramps. Berries and honey are great antioxidants to support immunity. Brazil nuts contain selenium which helps regulate metabolism, function and mood.

Ingredients

3 tablespoons plain/natural/Greek yogurt

1 tablespoon chia seeds

4 Brazil nuts

1 banana

1 thumb of ginger peeled

2 handfuls of spinach

1 handful frozen berries

2 beets from pre peeled and chopped beetroot packet

1 teaspoon honey

1 teaspoon of cacao

Enough water to blend up

Method

Blend all the ingredients up and enjoy!
